About Us

ARQ CenterĀ of Excellence on War, persecution and violence conducts research with regard to the psychosocial impact of war on individuals and society.

Research focuses on topics like resilience, self-care, in- and exclusion, the effects of commemorative rituals, moral trauma and citizenship. Building on the knowledge that was acquired in the decades after the Second World War, we research topics that are relevant in the present day.

ARQ CenterĀ of Excellence on War, persecution and violence is partly subsidized by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
